Tiaras have existed since ancient times but were exclusively used by members of royalty. Wearing a tiara indicated being an individual of high distinction, or it was used during ceremonies involving the pope. As a wedding accessory, some studies have traced the early origins of wearing tiaras with wedding dresses to Queen Victoria. Over the centuries, with the discovery of less expensive materials and various forms of mass media, the use of a tiara had become more popular, more readily accessible and available to other sectors of the public.

In today’s society, it is not hard to find various avenues which play onto this trend. TV shows and movies depict grand weddings, glowing brides wearing flowing white dresses and tiaras. Bridal magazines are a staple for women planning to get married, filled almost to the brim with various wedding ideas and items. Websites have also become a powerful tool in presenting designs, ideas and suggestions, all related to wedding accessories and tiaras. Styles, designs and materials used in making these accessories have varied greatly, to accommodate a variety of preferences and budgets.

Women may be influenced by a variety of media types but kids are more easily impressionable by graphics and visuals. This is the reason why they are more influenced by what they see on television and in the movies as compared to any other forms of media. Their imagination and creativity is especially strong during this age and have a stronger tendency to copy what they watch on television and in movies. Cartoons are a common part of the television diet for kids and one of the more effective ways of influencing them.

There are those who would argue that various films made and released by Walt Disney have been the most successful in this aspect of influencing young girls to wearing tiaras. As the company is renowned for producing cartoons and movies safe for family viewing, these films have subconsciously influenced several generations of little girls into wearing tiaras, making them believe that it would make them look and feel like little princesses. Whether it was participating in beauty pageants or simply playing dress up, wearing a tiara has become a common part of the ensemble of pretending to be like a princess. It added to the impression of feeling more beautiful or a part of royalty. With the tiara continually being associated with the image of looking like a princess, these young girls grew up retaining the same perceptions. As women still holding the same ideals, they continued to want that dream of becoming a princess, even for just a moment. The wedding is one of the few instances where women can indulge themselves in wearing a tiara and being the center of attention. Incorporating the tiara as a part of the wedding ensemble makes them believe that dreams come true. The trend continues in much of Western societies and will continue to be a part of weddings for many more generations to come.

In the years that a baby is born, the parents will already raise the kid to do certain things. This includes toilet training, cleaning up after playing and enjoying certain sports that are shown on television.
There will come a time that the kid will not only want to watch but also learn to play that sport. There are clinics that can teach these skills but the first thing the parents must get is the right sports apparel for the kid.
For basketball, the player will need the proper clothing and the right footwear.
The clothing is easy because this is only getting a top and a pair of shorts. Those without sleeves are much better since this allows better movement when dribbling the ball or taking those shots.
The fabric should also be able to absorb sweat so that it isn’t that heavy when the player is on the move.
The next is shoes. The person will surely notice that there are a lot of brands on the display shelves in the store. The customer can choose from New Balance, Nike and Reebok among others that will do well in the basketball court.
The other accessories that are minor are a good pair of socks. This will help the person absorb the impact of jumping into the air and landing back on the ground.
Some people are not contented with the plain colored shirt that is available in the store. In order to be like the stars, it helps to dress like the stars. Some sporting goods store such as City Sports or Footlocker may have this but if the price is a bit expensive, then its time to look in other places.
There could be an outlet store selling the same or similar item. This could be a long drive but the customer can probably get two or three for the price of one in a regular establishment.
Another place is the Internet. The individual can also check out some online stores that are known to sell these at discounted prices. It is best to get right measurements first since it will be hard to change should this not fit.
Kids can have more fun in learning and playing a sport by wearing the right apparel. This will help prevent injuries and perfect the skills of the individual that could help make this person a star in high school, college or even in the professional league.

“The Princess and the Frog” should be applauded for having a Black woman as the lead. It is new to see diversity Disney. The princess has a loving mother and father and dreams one day of having her own restaurant, a dream she shares with her father until he dies. She works double shifts as a waitress and just when she is about to realize her dream, it gets snatched away from her.

There are many funny scenes, and children will laugh several times. There are some frightening images. There are themes of not judging someone by their appearance, of persistence, and of dedication to realize one’s hopes. The animation in this film will dazzle your family. Watch Now!

One of the best times I’ve ever had was making Halloween costumes for my children, nieces and nephews. Finding something that was both safe, easy to put on and take off and within our limited budget wasn’t all that easy to find.
The simplest and the safest toddler Halloween costumes or those suited for infants, should not interfere with their movement, their eyesight or their halting walk. They will invariably want to practice this on the steepest of steps leading to a home at which they trick or treat, or that party you permitted them to attend.
The ability to wear clothing under the costume is helpful when the climate is not so warm during this time of year, particularly if the costume will be worn over a jacket and additional clothing. Be certain that neither infant nor toddler Halloween costume impedes the movement of the children’s extremities; bunching or gather outfits will make it difficult to walk.
Toddler costumes which are purchased or made should be checked over completely to assure that safety comes first. This includes the review of masks as to not obstruct vision. Far better would be face painting, which in no way interferes with their ability to see what they are walking toward or what may be coming toward them. Flowing costumes which are lengthy should be inspected to be certain that they are not too long and will create hazards when walking or running. Wonderful new toddler Halloween costumes are available which include the use face paints rather than a mask.
Among some of the more inventive I’ve seen recently included a leopard, a dinosaur and a cheetah, which incorporated two piece costumes, with face painting, that allowed for ease of use when the little one invariably had to shed the costume to use the bathroom, or found it necessary to readjust clothing beneath it.
Infant Halloween costumes should have no small parts which may come loose and placed in a child’s mouth while you aren’t looking, nor should they have any type of heavy hood materials which might slip down over a child’s face while they are placed in the rear of a car in the car seat.
Both infant and Toddler Halloween costumes have become far safer than they once were. Materials used are normally flame retardant. Be certain that yours are, as it is difficult to be constantly aware that a child adheres to safety rules with regard to the candles placed in the jack o’ lanterns. Swap candles for glow sticks to be safe.
Toddler Halloween costumes and infant Halloween costumes should be fun and interesting, not a hazard which may take what is a night of magic and fun to something far less than that. With a bit of care and inspection of what your child is wearing, your Halloween will be safe and fun for you and your child.

Appetizers range from green salad to a delicious corn and crab chowder.  The lemon lavender chicken is a recommended entree choice as are the pork chops or cavatappi pasta.  For dessert, don’t miss the créme brulée.* The Crystal PalaceLocated on Main Street U.S.A. around the corner from Casey’s Corner, The Crystal Palace has one of the best breakfast buffets in Disney.  Make a reservation for this restaurant to share a breakfast buffet experience with the character of Winnie the Pooh.  Dine on fluffy eggs, decadent pastries, fresh fruit, Mickey Ear waffles and amazing omelets.  The characters including Pooh Bear, Eyeore, Piglet, and Tigger will visit each table and pose for pictures while you eat.  The food is outstanding and the atmosphere festive.  Breakfast at The Crystal Palace is a great way to start a Disney day.* Liberty Tree TavernTo the left of Cinderella’s Castle is the pathway to Liberty Square.  In the square is the Liberty Tree Tavern, a great lunch spot serving an amazing New England clam chowder.  Visit the Tavern for a hearty lunch of tasty  New England pot roast, a juicy Angus cheeseburger or even a flavorful vegetarian potpie.  The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is recommended for dessert.EpcotEpcot is divided into two sections, the World Showcase and Future World, both with many great places to eat.  If trying dishes from different countries sounds exciting and delicious, plan several meals in the World Showcase.  There are eleven different countries represented serving sit-down meals, quick-bites and some of the tastiest coffee drinks in Epcot.  Future World offers an equally eclectic collection of food choices from traditional American burgers to pan-seared Ahi tuna.* Le Cellier Steakhouse (World Showcase:  Canada)One of the most popular restaurants in Walt Disney World, Le Cellier Steakhouse is one you will need reservations in order to get a table, even for lunch.  The atmosphere is warm and the food is extremely hearty and flavorful.  For an appetizer, start with the rich Canadian cheddar cheese soup.  It is a steakhouse, so a steak is recommended.  Excellent choices include the mushroom Filet Mignon and the coffee-rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak.  However, for the non-meat eater, the sauteed potato gnocchi is outstanding.  For dessert, consider the chocolate “Moose” or the apple-rhubarb crumble.* The Biergarten Restaurant (World Showcase:  Germany)A festive, family atmosphere, The Biergarten is an all-you-can-eat German buffet served in the Oktoberfest tradition.  There is a polka band and guests are encouraged to take a twirl on the dance floor in between feasting on the best German food at Disney.  Diners are seated at long tables with other guests so the atmosphere is very friendly.  The buffet includes hot and cold offerings as well as amazing pastries and strudels for dessert.  For beer lovers there are many German and European choices available.  On the buffet, do not miss the sauerbraten, Bavarian cabbage salad, homemade spaetzle, pork roast and baked veal loaf.* Teppan Edo (World Showcase:  Japan)Miso soup, sushi and Teppan-Yaki entrees are all served around a flattop grill/table combination and cooked to perfection by your personal chef.  Kids will love the show the table chef gives as he flips shrimp tails behind his back and creates a steaming volcano out of onion slices.  The food is fresh, hot and full of flavor.  The atmosphere is relaxing and suitable for  couples, families or larger parties.* Coral Reef (Future World:  The Living Seas)If you are going to eat seafood during a Disney World trip, this is the restaurant to visit.  They offer succulent seafood that is fresh and cooked expertly by top chefs.  For appetizers the creamy lobster soup and the shrimp and lobster cakes are superb.  The blackened catfish served over pepper jack cheese grits is spicy and full of rich flavors but for non-seafood eaters, try the wild mushroom lasagna or the grilled New York Strip Steak.  The almond gelato with passion fruit sauce is a dessert favorite.* Sunshine Season Food Fair (Future World:  The Land)Perfect for lunch, the Food Fair offers items from sandwiches and salads to noodle dishes and pork chops.  There is something for everyone and many of the fresh ingredients are grown right there in The Land’s greenhouses.* Kringla Bakeri og Cafe (World Showcase:  Norway)Viking coffee, espresso and pastries are all recommended at this small counter service stop.  This is the perfect place to grab a specialty coffee and treat before Epcot’s evening fireworks display.Disney Hollywood Studios* Hollywood Brown DerbyThe Brown Derby is located on Hollywood Boulevard across from the giant Mickey Sorcerer’s hat.  It serves American food with Hollywood style and is most famous for its Cobb salad.  They are open for lunch and dinner but reservations are recommended.* Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater RestaurantEating at this restaurant is like dining at an old-fashioned drive-in that only plays snippets of classic Sci-Fi movies.  The table are cars and you dine while the movie clips play.  It is a great place to eat with kids.  The Rueben is outstanding and the hamburgers are always a hit.  Not to be missed is the large and extremely filling ice cream sundae for dessert.  It is located on Commissary Lane.* Toy Story Pizza Planet ArcadeA replica of Pizza Planet from the Toy Story movie, it is a great place for pizza, salads and fun.  It is located on the Streets of America across from Muppet Vision 3-D.Animal Kingdom* Tusker HouseThis restaurant located in the Africa area of the park is a lunch and dinner buffet.  It features American and African cuisine with dishes like couscous salad, hummus, curry chicken and rotisserie pork loin.  The warm banana pudding is excellent for dessert.Dining in the Resorts* California Grill (Contemporary Resort)Featuring Californian-Asian fusion cuisine, this amazing restaurant is located on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort with one of the best views of the evening’s fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.* Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)African and American cuisine served buffet style, Boma is a flavorful bounty of delicious foods.  Make sure to try the FuFu, mashed sweet and white potatoes spiced with cinnamon and coriander.* Victoria and Albert’s (Grand Floridian)This is the ultimate in elegant Disney dining.  Victoria and Albert’s is not for a casual family meal or a quick bite before taking in a fireworks display.  This fine dining, Disney style.  Meal choices include Poulet Rouge, Wild Turbot, lamb, duck and Australian “Kobe” beef tenderloin to name but a few.  Reservations are required.Finding a good place to eat or dine is not difficult when visiting Walt Disney World.  Most restaurants and quick-service eateries are participating members of the Disney Dining plan. The Dining Plan can be included in most vacation packages and can save guests about 40 percent on their vacation dining.It is strongly recommended for guests to make advanced dining reservations at most Disney table service restaurants, Character dining, Dinner Shows, and Grand Gatherings.
