postheadericon Is it alright to watch scary movies when infants are present?

So, my mother is going to be having twins this summer, and I’m a big horror movie/horror game fan. I know that you can’t let small children watch frightening stuff, because it’ll scare them too badly, but what about when they’re infants and don’t really understand what’s going on around them?

postheadericon 5 Fun Filled Family Activities At Christmas

This year during the holidays, why not plan for a fun family activity which takes just one afternoon or evening. It can be something which you schedule and budget for ahead of time, or something which is impulsive. You should choose an event the whole family can become excited about. There are a wide range of things you can do, and here is a list of suggestions.Every Christmas there are new holiday movies released. An afternoon at the movie theater is an excellent activity. If what’s been shown isn’t something your family would like, then head down to the video store. There will surely be something you and your family haven’t seen. Close the curtains, turn off the lights, add popcorn, licorice, milk duds, and you’ll have a perfect afternoon.Tobogganing and sledding are a lot of fun. When I was a kid, there was a hill called “Say Your Prayers Now” that had everything, moguls, straight a ways and curves. Many an afternoon was spent digging snow out of my ears and looking for one of my winter boots. Just make sure to take along a thermos of hot chocolate.Ice skating is another outside activity which the whole family can enjoy. There are plenty of rinks available and some even have skate rentals. Here in Canada, there are many backyards with a homemade skating rink. They are easy to build and often get used until late spring. Hot chocolate and snack foods while warming up inside the back door is the way to go.In northern climates, snow is a magnificent building tool. Snowmen and snow girls, snowball fights, snow angels, and of course building snow forts, castles, and king of the snow hill! Snacks and warm drinks are mandatory. In many towns and cities, there are always some citizens who go all out with lights and decorations. An evening tour with the family is an excellent way to spend an evening.Five fun ways to spend some of your Christmas holiday time doing. Go and enjoy!

postheadericon Baby Gift Baskets: Great Ideas

New mums are quite used to receiving flowers and baby clothes when the new bub arrives, so it’s always smart to try and buck the trend a little bit when thinking up gifts. Baby gift hampers are great ideas for doing just that, and are available in many different styles and configurations.

In Lieu Of Flowers, Send A Gift Hamper –

Even though it’s always nice to receive flowers as they smell great and look beautiful, they don’t exactly offer many practical benefits for new mums or their bubs. It is quite likely that the new mum will receive a number of pretty bouquets and flower arrangements, it is quite likely that yours will get lost amongst the others. By sending a nice gift basket, you can stand out from all of the flowers and really thrill your friend.

Items That Mum Will Love –

New mums are often quite overwhelmed – and very exhausted – as they take care of their new bub. Gift baskets are great because they are stuffed full of useful, practical and very unique items that she will actually be able to make use of. Cute keepsakes are combined with useful items like washers and bottles to create something that is special and fun. Looking back, your friend will always remember who sent her the lovely gift hamper – and the items in it will be cherished for years.

Make A Lasting Impression –

A beautiful baby gift basket is surely going to stand out amongst the tangle of flowers, balloons and other traditional baby gifts the mother is likely to receive. Imagine her surprise when it arrives, and all of the fun that she will have when she opens it up and goes through it. More likely than not, she will write about it in the baby book, commemorating it so that it is always remembered. Years from now, she will flip through the pages of that book and smile as she remembers receiving your delightful and very useful gift basket.

Congratulate Her With Style From Afar –

Just because you live super far away from someone who is expecting a new baby, doesn’t mean that you can’t take part in their special day. Order her a baby gift basket and send your well wishes from across the country. When your basket arrives, the new mum is bound to be positively thrilled and is sure to call you right up and thank you for your thoughtfulness. Gift baskets are easy, convenient and lovely ways of showing a new mum that you care – and of welcoming a new bub into the world.

Just because you live across the country from your friend who is having a new baby, doesn’t mean that you can’t give her something truly special. Order her baby gift baskets from Hamper Me and have them delivered right to her door. High quality gift hampers Sydney are sure to brighten up her day, and are bound to be very appreciated.
